This repository contains a single Metasploit module (Ruby) that exploits a path traversal vulnerability (CVE-2017-2741) in HP Jetdirect-enabled printers. The exploit targets a range of HP PageWide and OfficeJet Pro printers running Linux. It leverages the PJL (Printer Job Language) interface over TCP port 9100 to write a shell script into /etc/profile.d/ on the printer's file system using a directory traversal attack. The script is executed upon printer restart, which is triggered via SNMP (UDP port 161) by setting the prtGeneralReset OID. The default payload is a telnetd shell, but any Metasploit-compatible Unix command payload can be used. The exploit provides root-level code execution on the printer and may leave an unauthenticated telnetd service running. The module is operational and requires network access to the printer's PJL and SNMP ports. The code is well-structured, with clear separation of payload delivery and printer restart logic.
