CVE-2017-5260 is an information disclosure vulnerability in Cambium Networks cnPilot firmware versions 4.3.2-R4 and prior. The vulnerability arises because the configuration file, which contains sensitive information, is accessible via a direct object reference (DRO) at http://<device-ip-or-hostname>/goform/down_cfg_file. This endpoint is accessible to the low-privileged 'user' account, even though the web administrative console does not present this option to such users. As a result, a low-privileged user can directly download the configuration file, bypassing intended access controls.

This repository contains a single Metasploit auxiliary module targeting Cambium cnPilot r200/r201 devices. The module exploits an access control vulnerability (CVE-2017-5260) in the web management interface, allowing an attacker to authenticate (using default or known credentials) and download the full device configuration file via the /goform/down_cfg_file endpoint. The configuration file contains sensitive information, including passwords and keys, stored in cleartext. The module is operational and can be used to loot credentials and configuration from vulnerable devices. The code is written in Ruby and is structured as a typical Metasploit auxiliary scanner, with options for target port, username, and password. The main exploit capability is unauthorized configuration file retrieval, which can lead to further compromise of the device.
