CVE-2017-6736 is one of multiple buffer overflow vulnerabilities in the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) subsystem of Cisco IOS and Cisco IOS XE Software. The flaw can be triggered by an authenticated remote attacker sending a crafted SNMP packet to a vulnerable device over IPv4 or IPv6. The issue affects SNMP versions 1, 2c, and 3. For SNMP v1/v2c exploitation, the attacker must know the device’s SNMP read-only community string; for SNMP v3, the attacker must possess valid SNMP user credentials. Cisco states that devices with SNMP enabled that have not explicitly excluded the affected MIBs or OIDs should be considered vulnerable. Successful exploitation can result in arbitrary code execution on the device or force the device to reload.

This repository is a Python-based exploit toolkit targeting Cisco IOS devices vulnerable to CVE-2017-6736 (SNMP Remote Code Execution). The main exploit logic is in 'run.py', which uses the 'doTelnet.py' class to automate Telnet login (default credentials 'cisco/cisco') and execute a series of configuration commands on the target router. These commands remove an outbound access control list (ACL 101) and add a new default route pointing to 195.20.52.49, potentially redirecting all traffic. The script also executes a SNMP RCE payload from a submodule ('cisco-snmp-rce'), further exploiting the device. The repository includes submodules for related exploits (including CVE-2018-0296 for reconnaissance). The exploit requires network access to the target device and is operational, providing direct manipulation of router configuration and potential remote code execution.
This repository is a proof-of-concept (PoC) exploit chain targeting Cisco routers vulnerable to CVE-2017-6736 (SNMP RCE) and chaining it with a Spectre (CVE-2017-5753, CVE-2017-5715) browser attack. The structure includes a batch script (readyGo.bat) that automates the exploitation process: it runs a Python-based SNMP RCE exploit (from a submodule), then uses Plink to send configuration commands (from ciscoCommands.txt) to the router, setting a new default route to 195.20.52.49 (an attacker-controlled host). The attacker then serves a fake login page (index.html) that loads JavaScript from the spectre-chrome submodule, attempting a Spectre attack in the browser context. The repository is organized with submodules for the main exploit components, a batch script for automation, and HTML/JS files for the phishing/Spectre phase. The exploit requires access to a vulnerable Cisco router and aims to redirect user traffic through a malicious gateway, where further browser-based exploitation can occur.
