CVE-2017-9506 is a server-side request forgery vulnerability in the icon-URI handling servlet of the Atlassian OAuth Plugin. The affected component accepts attacker-controlled icon resource locations and can retrieve resources reachable from the Atlassian application server rather than enforcing appropriate destination validation. The issue affects OAuth Plugin versions from 1.3.0 through before 1.9.12 and from 2.0.0 through before 2.0.4. The behavior may also enable cross-site scripting through attacker-controlled retrieved content.
