Optionsbleed is a use-after-free vulnerability in Apache HTTP Server handling of invalid or previously unregistered HTTP methods in <Limit> or <LimitExcept> directives. An invalid method configured in an .htaccess directive can leave data used to construct the response Allow header freed before it is later accessed during processing of an HTTP OPTIONS request. The issue affects Apache HTTP Server through 2.2.34 and 2.4.x through 2.4.27, as well as vendor-supported releases that incorporated the vulnerable code before applying backported fixes.
