CVE-2018-1000850 is a directory traversal vulnerability in Square Retrofit versions 2.0.0 through versions before 2.5.0. The flaw is in RequestBuilder.addPathParameter, which does not safely constrain encoded path-parameter values. An attacker able to manipulate an encoded path parameter in a state-changing request can introduce traversal sequences into the constructed request path and target resources outside the intended endpoint path.
