CVE-2018-19627 is a vulnerability in Wireshark affecting versions 2.6.0 through 2.6.4 and 2.4.0 through 2.4.10. The issue is in the IxVeriWave file parser and was fixed in wiretap/vwr.c by adjusting a buffer boundary. Based on the available description, malformed IxVeriWave capture data can trigger an out-of-bounds memory condition that causes the parser to crash while processing the file.
