CVE-2018-25114 is a remote code execution vulnerability in osCommerce Online Merchant 2.3.4.1. The issue stems from an insecure default deployment state in which the /install/ directory remains accessible after installation, combined with missing authentication in the installer workflow. An unauthenticated attacker can directly access install_4.php and submit crafted POST parameters that are written into configure.php. Because the application subsequently includes configure.php during normal execution, attacker-supplied PHP code embedded in that file is executed on the server. The flaw therefore allows arbitrary PHP code injection through the exposed installer path, leading to compromise of the web application and underlying host in the context of the web server process.

This repository contains a single Metasploit module (Ruby file) that exploits an unauthenticated remote code execution vulnerability in osCommerce 2.3.4.1 (CVE-2018-25114). The exploit targets installations where the /install/ directory has not been removed after setup. By abusing the install.php script, the attacker can inject arbitrary PHP code into the configure.php file, which is then executed by the web server. The module checks for the presence and accessibility of the installer, verifies file permissions, and then delivers a customizable PHP payload (provided by Metasploit) for remote code execution. The main endpoints targeted are within the /catalog/install/ directory, specifically install.php and configure.php. The exploit is weaponized, allowing for easy payload customization and reliable exploitation through the Metasploit framework.
