CVE-2019-11358 is a prototype-pollution vulnerability in jQuery versions before 3.4.0. The recursive merge operation, jQuery.extend(true, {}, ...), mishandles source objects containing an enumerable proto property. When such an unsanitized object is merged, attacker-controlled properties can be written to the native Object.prototype and inherited by other JavaScript objects. The resulting property injection can cause unsafe application behavior and, depending on how the application uses inherited properties, may lead to denial of service, cross-site scripting, or remote code execution.

This repository is a proof-of-concept (PoC) exploit for CVE-2019-11358, a prototype pollution vulnerability in jQuery versions prior to 3.4.0. The repository contains two files: a README.md describing the vulnerability and a PoC.html file that demonstrates the exploit. The PoC loads jQuery 3.3.0 from the official CDN and uses the $.extend method with a specially crafted object to pollute Object.prototype by adding an 'is_polluted' property. If the pollution is successful, an alert is triggered. The exploit targets web applications that use a vulnerable version of jQuery and rely on deep extension via $.extend. The only fingerprintable endpoint is the CDN URL for the vulnerable jQuery version. The exploit is a simple, non-weaponized PoC and does not provide a payload beyond demonstrating the vulnerability.
