CVE-2019-12258 is an IPNET TCP component vulnerability affecting Wind River VxWorks 6.6 through Vx7. The flaw allows injection of invalid or malformed TCP segments into an existing TCP flow when the attacker knows the session 4-tuple (source and destination IP addresses and TCP ports). Processing of malformed TCP options can cause the targeted TCP connection to be reset. The issue is described in the source material as a session-fixation/argument-injection style weakness in the TCP component, resulting in denial of service of the TCP connection rather than code execution.
