A command injection vulnerability exists in OpenWrt LuCI through version 0.10, specifically in the endpoints admin/status/realtime/bandwidth_status and admin/status/realtime/wireless_status. The web application fails to properly sanitize user-supplied input, allowing attackers to inject and execute arbitrary system commands via crafted requests to these endpoints.

This repository contains two Python exploit scripts targeting CVE-2019-12272, a command injection vulnerability in the LuCI web interface of OpenWrt-based devices. The scripts ('cve-2019-12272_bandwidth_status.py' and 'cve-2019-12272_wireless_status.py') exploit vulnerable endpoints by injecting arbitrary shell commands into the URL path, causing the device to execute the command and write its output to a file ('output.txt') on the web server. The scripts then retrieve and display the command output. Both scripts require the attacker to provide the target device's address, as well as valid LuCI credentials (username and password). The exploit is operational, allowing arbitrary command execution on vulnerable devices. The repository also includes a README with usage instructions and a reference to further details about the vulnerability.
