CVE-2019-12799 is a vulnerability in Shopware through 5.6.x in the createInstanceFromNamedArguments functionality. A crafted web request can trigger unsafe PHP object instantiation, and if an attacker can cause instantiation of a suitable class, this condition can lead to arbitrary deserialization. The issue is effectively a bypass of the earlier whitelist-based fix for CVE-2017-18357, allowing attacker-controlled input to reach a deserialization path through an assumed-trusted class. Successful exploitation can culminate in remote code execution through a usable gadget chain.

This repository contains a single Metasploit module targeting Shopware (versions 5.3 to 5.6) via a PHP object instantiation vulnerability (CVE-2019-12799). The exploit requires valid backend credentials and leverages insufficient input validation in the createInstanceFromNamedArguments function to achieve PHP object injection. The module authenticates to the Shopware backend, leaks the webroot and CSRF token, crafts a malicious PHAR archive containing a PHP webshell, uploads it, and triggers deserialization to write the webshell to the server. The resulting webshell allows arbitrary PHP code execution via a custom HTTP header. The module is fully weaponized, providing automated exploitation and cleanup via the Metasploit framework. The main attack vector is network-based, targeting HTTP endpoints in the Shopware backend. The code is well-structured and leverages Metasploit's HttpClient and FileDropper mixins for HTTP communication and file management.
