CVE-2019-13567 is a remote code execution vulnerability in the Zoom macOS client’s ZoomOpener component. ZoomOpener exposed a local web-server launch endpoint that accepted a domain parameter and used flawed suffix-based validation to treat attacker-controlled domains as trusted Zoom domains. It subsequently obtained update metadata and payload locations from that domain and downloaded and opened or installed the resulting content without adequate integrity validation. An attacker could use a crafted launch URL to cause execution of an attacker-controlled macOS payload.
