CVE-2019-13623 is a path traversal vulnerability in NSA Ghidra before version 9.1. The flaw is present in RestoreTask.java in the ghidra.app.plugin.core.archive package, where archive contents are restored without adequately restricting extracted file paths to the intended destination directory. A crafted archive containing an executable file whose name begins with directory traversal sequences can escape the target extraction path and overwrite arbitrary files on the local filesystem. The issue is a Zip Slip-style archive extraction weakness caused by improper limitation of pathnames to a restricted directory.
