CVE-2019-14749 is a CSV/formula injection vulnerability in osTicket affecting versions before 1.10.7 and 1.12.x before 1.12.1. The flaw exists in the export spreadsheets functionality, which dynamically generates CSV and XLS output from unvalidated or unfiltered user-controlled content. Attacker-supplied input placed in user and ticket fields, including Name, Internal Notes, and Issue Summary, can be embedded directly into spreadsheet cells. When an agent exports this data and opens the resulting file in a spreadsheet application such as Microsoft Excel or OpenOffice Calc, the application may interpret the crafted cell contents as formulas rather than inert text. This creates a client-side injection condition in which untrusted data becomes executable spreadsheet content.
