CVE-2019-1619 is an authentication bypass vulnerability in the web-based management interface of Cisco Data Center Network Manager (DCNM) versions 11.1(1) and below. Due to improper session management and insecure implementation of authentication mechanisms, an unauthenticated remote attacker can send crafted HTTP requests to bypass authentication and gain administrative access to the DCNM application. The vulnerability is present in both the virtual appliance and installations on Windows and Red Hat Linux. The flaw is exacerbated by the use of a hardcoded SECRETKEY for SSO token generation, allowing attackers to authenticate as any user, including the default 'admin'.

This repository contains a single Metasploit module (modules/exploits/multi/http/cisco_dcnm_upload_2019.rb) that exploits multiple vulnerabilities in Cisco Data Center Network Manager (DCNM) to achieve unauthenticated remote code execution. The exploit targets the /fm/fileUpload servlet, allowing an attacker to upload a malicious WAR file to the Tomcat webapps directory. It leverages CVE-2019-1619 for authentication bypass (on versions 10.4(2) and below), CVE-2019-1620 for the file upload, and CVE-2019-1622 for information disclosure to determine the correct upload path. The module supports targeting DCNM versions 10.4(2), 11.0(1), and 11.1(1), with authentication required only for 11.0(1). The exploit is weaponized, allowing the attacker to specify a Metasploit payload (such as a reverse shell) that will be executed as root on the target system. The module interacts with several HTTP endpoints for detection, authentication, log retrieval, and payload deployment. The code is written in Ruby and is structured as a standard Metasploit exploit module.
This repository contains a single Metasploit auxiliary module (modules/auxiliary/admin/networking/cisco_dcnm_download.rb) targeting Cisco Data Center Network Manager (DCNM) versions 10.4(2), 11.0(1), and 11.1(1). The module exploits an unauthenticated (or, for 11.0(1), authenticated) arbitrary file download vulnerability via the /fm/downloadServlet endpoint. The attacker can specify any file path (default: /etc/shadow) to download files as root from the DCNM server. The module includes logic to detect the DCNM version and handle authentication as needed. The exploit is operational and can be used to exfiltrate sensitive files from vulnerable DCNM instances. The code is written in Ruby and is designed to be run within the Metasploit framework.
This repository contains a PowerShell script (tokenBuilder.ps1) and a README.md. The script is designed to automate the generation of a valid authentication token required to exploit CVE-2019-1619, an authentication bypass vulnerability in Cisco Data Center Network Manager (DCNM). The script takes a timestamp (from the 'Date' field in HTTP response headers) as input, processes it to generate a token using a hardcoded session ID and secret key, and outputs the token. This token can then be used to bypass authentication on a vulnerable Cisco DCNM server. The README provides context and references the original CVE advisory. The exploit is operational, as it automates a key step in the attack chain but does not itself perform the network attack; it is intended to be used in conjunction with manual or other automated exploitation steps.
