CVE-2019-17531 is a polymorphic deserialization vulnerability in FasterXML jackson-databind versions 2.0.0 through 2.9.10. When Default Typing is enabled globally or for a property on an externally exposed JSON endpoint, Jackson can deserialize a malicious object through serialization gadgets in apache-log4j-extra 1.2.x. If an attacker can provide or control access to a JNDI service, deserialization can cause the affected service to execute an attacker-supplied payload.
