CVE-2019-19363 is a local privilege escalation vulnerability in Ricoh (including Savin and Lanier) Windows printer drivers prior to 2020. The vulnerability exists in multiple Ricoh print drivers, including PCL6, PS, PC FAX, PCL5, RPCS, PostScript3, and RPCS Raster drivers. The flaw allows a low-privileged user to overwrite a DLL loaded by the driver, leading to code execution as SYSTEM. The attack leverages the Bring Your Own Print Driver (BYOPD) technique, where a vulnerable driver is staged (often via a malicious printer or by a user with access to the driver store), and a malicious DLL is dropped to escalate privileges.

This repository contains a single Metasploit module (modules/exploits/windows/local/ricoh_driver_privesc.rb) that exploits a local privilege escalation vulnerability (CVE-2019-19363) in various Ricoh printer drivers on Windows. The exploit leverages weak permissions on the Ricoh driver directory (C:\ProgramData\RICOH_DRV), allowing a low-privileged user to write a malicious DLL. When a new printer is added using the vulnerable driver (via prnmngr.vbs), the Windows PrintIsolationHost.exe process (running as SYSTEM) loads the attacker's DLL, resulting in code execution as SYSTEM. The module requires a Meterpreter session and uses standard Metasploit payload generation to create the DLL. The exploit is operational, providing SYSTEM-level access if successful, and leaves artifacts on disk. The code is written in Ruby and is structured as a typical Metasploit local exploit module.
