CVE-2019-2698 is a difficult-to-exploit vulnerability in the Java SE 2D component affecting Oracle Java SE 7u211 and 8u202. It affects client-side Java deployments that execute untrusted code in sandboxed Java Web Start applications or, in Java SE 8, sandboxed applets. An unauthenticated network-accessible attacker may compromise Java SE when the deployment relies on the Java sandbox to contain untrusted Internet-sourced code. Server deployments that load only administrator-installed trusted code are not affected under the stated conditions.
