CVE-2020-11113 is a Jackson Databind 2.x deserialization vulnerability affecting versions before 2.9.10.4. Jackson mishandles the interaction between polymorphic type handling and a serialization gadget in OpenJPA's WASRegistryManagedRuntime class. When unsafe polymorphic/default typing is enabled, attacker-controlled serialized input can cause instantiation and use of the gadget. Jackson 2.10.0 and later are not affected.

This repository is a proof-of-concept (POC) exploit for CVE-2020-11113, a remote code execution vulnerability in the Jackson-databind library (version 2.9.10). The repository is structured as a Maven Java project and contains a main exploit file (src/main/java/com/jacksonTest/Poc.java) that demonstrates how deserializing a crafted JSON payload can trigger a JNDI lookup to an LDAP server. The payload leverages the 'org.apache.openjpa.ee.WASRegistryManagedRuntime' gadget to initiate the lookup, which, if the LDAP server is controlled by an attacker, can result in remote code execution. The exploit requires the target application to use a vulnerable version of Jackson-databind with default typing enabled and to deserialize untrusted data. The repository also includes basic scaffolding files (App.java, AppTest.java) and a pom.xml specifying dependencies, notably the vulnerable Jackson-databind version and related libraries.
