CVE-2020-14179 is an information disclosure vulnerability in Atlassian Jira Server and Atlassian Jira Data Center. In affected versions, the /secure/QueryComponent!Default.jspa endpoint can be queried without authentication and returns metadata that should not be exposed to unauthenticated users, specifically custom field names and custom SLA names. The flaw affects Jira Server and Data Center versions before 8.5.8, and versions from 8.6.0 before 8.11.1. The issue is rooted in improper exposure of application metadata through the endpoint’s response, including JSON output indicating custom field data.
