CVE-2020-20277 is a set of unauthenticated directory traversal vulnerabilities in uftpd FTP server versions 2.7 to 2.10. The vulnerabilities stem from improper implementation of a chroot jail in the compose_abspath function in common.c, allowing attackers to abuse various FTP commands to traverse directories outside the intended root. This can result in unauthorized reading or writing of arbitrary files, memory leakage, or potentially remote code execution.
