URayTech IPTV/H.264/H.265 video encoders through version 1.97 contain a path traversal vulnerability reachable via unauthenticated HTTP requests. By sending crafted requests that abuse path traversal and related pattern-matching programming flaws, an attacker can traverse outside the intended web-accessible directory and retrieve arbitrary files from the device filesystem. This includes sensitive configuration files that store the administrative password in cleartext, enabling credential disclosure.
