CVE-2020-29583 is an undocumented hardcoded account vulnerability in Zyxel USG devices running firmware version 4.60. The firmware contains a built-in account with a fixed, unchangeable password, and the credential is recoverable in cleartext from the firmware image. The undocumented account can be used to authenticate to the device over the SSH service or the web management interface and grants administrative privileges. The core weakness is the presence of a hardcoded credential embedded in the product, combined with exposure of privileged management interfaces.
