CVE-2020-6627 is an OS command injection vulnerability in the web-management application of Seagate Central NAS devices (models STCG2000300, STCG3000300, and STCG4000300). The vulnerability exists in the mv_backend_launch function within cirrus/application/helpers/mv_backend_helper.php, where user input is insufficiently sanitized, allowing an attacker to inject arbitrary operating system commands by leveraging the 'start' state and sending a crafted check_device_name request.
