CVE-2020-7473 is a vulnerability in Citrix ShareFile StorageZones Controller, affecting all versions including the latest 5.10.x as of May 2020. The flaw allows unauthenticated attackers to access documents and folders belonging to ShareFile users. Exploitability is determined by the version used during the initial setup of a storage zone—specifically, if it was created with versions 5.9.0, 5.8.0, 5.7.0, 5.6.0, 5.5.0, or earlier. The vulnerability is due to improper limitation of a pathname to a restricted directory (path traversal). This issue is distinct from but similar in risk to CVE-2020-8982 and CVE-2020-8983.
