CVE-2020-7598 is an improper-input-validation vulnerability in the Node.js minimist argument-parsing package before version 1.2.2. Crafted arguments containing constructor or proto property paths can cause minimist to add or modify properties on JavaScript Object.prototype, resulting in prototype pollution. The polluted properties may subsequently influence application behavior wherever objects inherit those properties.
