CVE-2021-1472 is an authentication bypass vulnerability in the web-based management interface of Cisco Small Business RV Series Routers. The flaw affects the management plane of multiple RV160, RV260, and RV340 series devices and allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to bypass normal authentication controls and upload files to restricted directories on an affected device. The issue resides in the web management interface rather than the routing data plane, and exploitation can be performed remotely against exposed administrative services without valid credentials.

This repository contains a single Metasploit module targeting Cisco Small Business RV series routers (models RV340, RV340w, RV345, RV345P) running firmware 1.0.03.20 or below. The exploit leverages two vulnerabilities: an authentication bypass (CVE-2021-1472) and a command injection (CVE-2021-1473) in the /upload HTTP endpoint. The module sends a specially crafted POST request to /upload, using a manipulated Authorization header to bypass authentication and injecting commands via the Cookie header, which are executed by the device's upload.cgi binary. The exploit supports both direct command execution (reverse shell) and staged payloads (Meterpreter) for ARMLE architecture. The code is weaponized, allowing for easy payload customization and reliable exploitation. The only code file is a Ruby Metasploit module, and the attack vector is remote network-based, requiring only access to the device's web interface.
