CVE-2021-21606 is an improper input-validation flaw in Jenkins fingerprint metadata existence checks. Jenkins 2.274 and earlier and Jenkins LTS 2.263.1 and earlier do not fully validate a supplied fingerprint ID before using it to check for fingerprint XML metadata. A malformed ID can be used to probe whether XML files exist on the Jenkins controller filesystem when the target can be represented by a relative short path.
