CVE-2021-27964 affects SonLogger before version 6.4.1. The application exposes the /Config/SaveUploadedHotspotLogoFile endpoint and allows an attacker to submit a POST request to upload a file without authentication or a valid session header. The upload handler does not enforce file extension validation or content-type/content validation, resulting in an arbitrary file upload condition. Because the upload is unauthenticated and unrestricted by file type, a remote attacker can place attacker-controlled files on the target system.

This repository contains two exploits targeting SonLogger <= 4.2.3.3 (and < 6.4.1 for the file upload) on Windows. The first exploit (sonlogger-superadmin_create.py) is a Python script that allows an unauthenticated attacker to create a SuperAdmin user by sending crafted POST requests to the SonLogger web interface. It can also enumerate product and user information. The second exploit (sonlogger_arbitrary_fileupload.rb) is a Metasploit module that exploits an unauthenticated arbitrary file upload vulnerability, allowing an attacker to upload and execute a payload (such as a reverse shell) as an ASP file. The Metasploit module is weaponized, supporting customizable payloads and automated exploitation. Both exploits leverage insecure HTTP endpoints exposed by the SonLogger application. The repository is well-structured, with clear separation between the Python PoC and the Metasploit module, and includes a README with usage instructions and vulnerability details.
