CVE-2021-29154 is a vulnerability in the BPF JIT compilers of the Linux kernel (up to version 5.11.12), specifically in arch/x86/net/bpf_jit_comp.c and arch/x86/net/bpf_jit_comp32.c. The flaw is due to incorrect computation of branch displacements, which can be exploited to execute arbitrary code in kernel context. This allows an attacker with the ability to load BPF programs to potentially escalate privileges or compromise the kernel.
