CVE-2021-31525 is a denial-of-service vulnerability in the Go standard library net/http package before Go 1.15.12 and Go 1.16.4. ReadRequest and ReadResponse can encounter an unrecoverable panic while parsing exceptionally large HTTP headers. The vulnerable parsing path is reachable through Connection-header processing in the standard library; related golang.org/x/net paths can be reached through Connection or Upgrade-header processing. It affects Go HTTP clients, including applications using net/http Transport or Client, and potentially Go HTTP servers configured with an unsafe Server.MaxHeaderBytes value.
