CVE-2021-35515 is a denial-of-service vulnerability in the Apache Commons Compress sevenz package. When parsing a specially crafted 7Z archive, construction of the codec list used to decompress an archive entry can reuse a codec in the codec chain and enter an infinite loop. Apache Commons Compress version 1.21 corrects the codec-chain handling.
