CVE-2021-37159 is a use-after-free and double-free vulnerability in the Linux kernel USB HSO network driver. In kernel versions through 5.13.4, hso_free_net_device() calls unregister_netdev() without first verifying that the network device is in the NETREG_REGISTERED state. Invoking unregistration for a device not in the registered state can result in incorrect lifetime management and freeing of already released objects.
