Zoho ManageEngine ADAudit Plus versions prior to 7006 contain a vulnerability that allows attackers to write and execute arbitrary files on the system. This can be exploited by an attacker to gain unauthorized code execution on the server running ADAudit Plus.

1 valid exploit after Mallory filtered fakes, detection scripts, and README-only repos.
This repository contains a single Metasploit module targeting ManageEngine ADAudit Plus (versions prior to 7006) for authenticated remote code execution (RCE). The exploit leverages two vulnerabilities: direct command injection via the custom alert script feature (pre-7004), and an arbitrary file write vulnerability (CVE-2021-42847) in builds 7004 and 7005. The module requires valid credentials with sufficient privileges and interacts with the ADAudit Plus web interface (default port 8081) to create a malicious alert profile. For vulnerable versions, it either injects a payload directly or writes a PowerShell script to the /alert_scripts/ directory, which is then executed by the application. The default payload is a PowerShell reverse shell, but any compatible Metasploit payload can be used. The module includes cleanup routines and provides warnings for manual artifact removal. The code is written in Ruby and is structured as a standard Metasploit exploit module, making it easy to use and customize within the Metasploit framework.
