CVE-2021-44664 is an authenticated remote code execution vulnerability in Xerte through version 3.9. The vulnerability exists in website_code/php/import/fileupload.php, where an attacker with valid credentials can upload a malicious PHP file disguised as a language file. The upload filters can be bypassed, and the attacker can further abuse the 'mediapath' variable to perform path traversal, manipulating the destination of the uploaded file and achieving code execution on the server.
