CVE-2021-45067 is an out-of-bounds read vulnerability in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC versions 21.007.20099 and earlier, 20.004.30017 and earlier, and 17.011.30204 and earlier. The vulnerability arises from accessing memory after the end of a buffer, which can result in the disclosure of sensitive memory contents. Successful exploitation requires user interaction, specifically opening a maliciously crafted file.

This repository contains a proof-of-concept exploit for CVE-2021-45067, an out-of-bounds read vulnerability in Adobe Reader's handling of XFA forms due to ANSI/Unicode confusion. The exploit is delivered as a malicious PDF (exploit.pdf) with embedded JavaScript (xfa.js) and XFA XML (xfa.xml/template). When a user opens the PDF in a vulnerable version of Adobe Reader and clicks a specific form element, the embedded JavaScript grooms the heap, triggers garbage collection, and resets XFA data to exploit the bug. Sensitive memory contents are then exfiltrated via a form submission to an attacker-controlled HTTP server (default: http://192.168.0.110/). The repository also includes a simple Python HTTP server (web-server-post.py) to receive the exfiltrated data. The exploit demonstrates an information leak from the sandboxed Adobe Reader process and is intended as a proof-of-concept for research and demonstration purposes.
