CVE-2021-46909 is a Linux kernel defect affecting ARM Footbridge PCI interrupt mapping. A PCI-core change causes the platform IRQ-mapping callback to be invoked when a PCI driver is probed. The affected Footbridge mapping functions were incorrectly marked for initialization-only use and could therefore be discarded after kernel initialization. Probing or binding a PCI driver after initialization could invoke the discarded callback and trigger a kernel oops.
