CVE-2021-47018 is a Linux kernel flaw affecting the PowerPC 64-bit architecture. The kernel defined the fixmap area at the top of the virtual address space, or immediately below the KASAN region, a layout that is invalid on PPC64. The upstream correction instead reserves a fixed-size fixmap area at the top of the I/O address space and includes a build-time check that the reserved area is sufficiently large.
