CVE-2021-47408 is an improper-locking flaw in the Linux kernel netfilter connection-tracking subsystem. Concurrent conntrack hash-table resizing and cleanup operations were not serialized. A resize could cause nf_ct_iterate_cleanup() to repeatedly restart while network namespaces were being dismantled, producing prolonged cleanup stalls. The upstream correction serializes conntrack hash resizes and cleanups with a mutex and improves traversal by skipping empty hash buckets.

A locally exploitable vulnerability requiring low privileges that can cause high availability impact; the content identifies it as affecting Unity Linux but provides no technical flaw description.
A resolved Linux kernel Netfilter connection-tracking (conntrack) vulnerability involving serialization of hash-table resize and cleanup operations.
An improper-locking denial-of-service vulnerability in the Linux kernel netfilter conntrack subsystem. Simultaneous connection-tracking hash-table resizing and cleanup can cause prolonged delays, high CPU resource consumption, and system unresponsiveness.
A Linux kernel netfilter conntrack cleanup performance/denial-of-service issue in which concurrent conntrack hash resizes can repeatedly restart cleanup iteration, causing network namespace teardown to take more than five minutes and triggering hung-task warnings.
