CVE-2021-47590 is a deadlock vulnerability in the Linux kernel Multipath TCP (MPTCP) implementation. In __mptcp_push_pending(), the kernel could invoke mptcp_flush_join_list() while holding a subflow socket lock. That path may invoke mptcp_sockopt_sync_all(), which subsequently attempts to acquire the same subflow socket lock, causing self-deadlock. The fix replaces mptcp_flush_join_list() with __mptcp_flush_join_list() in __mptcp_push_pending(), deferring socket-option synchronization to a workqueue.
