CVE-2021-47960 affects Synology SSL VPN Client versions before 1.4.5-0684. The vulnerability is a files or directories accessible to external parties issue in which a local HTTP server bound to the loopback interface exposes files within the client's installation directory. A remote attacker can leverage browser-based access to this localhost service by inducing the victim to interact with a crafted web page while the vulnerable client is present. Successful exploitation allows retrieval of sensitive files from the installation directory, including configuration files, certificates, and logs, resulting in information disclosure.
