CVE-2022-1574 affects the HTML2WP WordPress plugin through version 1.0.0. The plugin's file import functionality does not implement authorization checks or CSRF protections and does not properly validate imported files. As a result, an unauthenticated attacker can cause arbitrary files to be uploaded to the remote server, including potentially executable PHP files. This is an unrestricted file upload condition in a WordPress plugin that can expose the hosting environment to direct compromise if uploaded files are placed in a web-accessible and executable location.
