CVE-2022-24735 is a code-injection and privilege-escalation vulnerability in the Redis Lua script execution environment. Weaknesses in the mechanisms intended to prevent persistent Lua-script side effects can be abused in Redis deployments using ACLs. A lower-privileged Redis user can inject Lua code that persists and is subsequently executed when another, potentially more privileged, Redis user runs a Lua script. The issue affects Redis versions before 7.0.0 and 6.2.7.
