CVE-2022-26143 is a critical access control vulnerability affecting the TP-240 component in Mitel MiCollab before 9.4 SP1 FP1 and Mitel MiVoice Business Express through 8.1. The flaw permits remote, unauthenticated attackers to interact with the exposed component in a manner that bypasses intended access restrictions, leading to unauthorized access to sensitive information and services. Reported exploitation activity also indicates the vulnerability can be leveraged to gain initial access and execute code on affected devices. In addition to unauthorized access, exploitation can trigger denial-of-service conditions characterized by performance degradation and excessive outbound traffic. The vulnerability was exploited in the wild in early 2022 in activity associated with the TP240PhoneHome DDoS campaign.
