CVE-2022-28131 is an uncontrolled-recursion vulnerability in Go's encoding/xml package. In Go releases before 1.17.12 and 1.18.4, Decoder.Skip recursively processes nested XML elements without sufficient depth control. An attacker-controlled, deeply nested XML document reaching a Decoder.Skip call can exhaust the process stack and trigger a panic.
