CVE-2022-2880 is a query-parameter-smuggling vulnerability in Go's net/http/httputil ReverseProxy. Before the fix, ReverseProxy forwarded the raw inbound query string, including parameters that net/http rejected as unparsable. This can cause a reverse proxy and downstream components to interpret request parameters inconsistently. The fix sanitizes the forwarded query when the outbound request's Form field has been set after the Director function returns, indicating that the proxy parsed the parameters. Proxies that do not parse query parameters continue to forward the original query string unchanged.
