CVE-2022-28810 is an unrestricted operating system command execution vulnerability in Zoho ManageEngine ADSelfService Plus before build 6122. The flaw is exposed through the policy custom script feature, which allows a remote authenticated administrator to execute arbitrary OS commands on the host running ADSelfService Plus with SYSTEM privileges. The issue is further compounded by weak security controls: use of a default administrator password can make administrative access easier to obtain, and a partially authenticated remote attacker may also be able to inject arbitrary commands into the custom script through an unsanitized password field. Successful exploitation results in remote code execution on the underlying server.

This repository contains a single Metasploit module targeting ManageEngine ADSelfService Plus (CVE-2022-28810). The exploit leverages the 'custom script' feature, which allows an authenticated attacker (admin credentials required) to inject arbitrary OS commands into the application's configuration. These commands are executed as SYSTEM when a user resets their password or unlocks their account, providing high-privilege code execution. The module interacts with several HTTP endpoints for authentication, version checking, and configuration updates. The exploit is weaponized, allowing for customizable payloads (such as reverse shells) and is suitable for post-authentication attacks against vulnerable ADSelfService Plus instances (build < 6122). The code is written in Ruby and is structured as a typical Metasploit exploit module.
