CVE-2022-40266 is an improper input validation vulnerability in the FTP server function of Mitsubishi Electric GOT2000 Series GT27, GT25, and GT23 models. Affected versions are FTP server 01.39.000 and earlier. The flaw can be triggered when a remote authenticated attacker sends a specially crafted FTP command to the device, causing the FTP server to mishandle the input and enter a denial-of-service condition. The issue is limited to the FTP server component and the available information identifies availability impact rather than confidentiality or integrity impact.
