CVE-2022-4361 is a cross-site scripting vulnerability in Keycloak SAML and OIDC provider processing caused by insufficient validation of URI schemes. An attacker can supply a malicious AssertionConsumerServiceURL in a SAML flow or a malicious redirect_uri in an OIDC flow, enabling script execution in a victim's browser when the crafted URI is processed. Red Hat Single Sign-On 7.6.3 is affected; the issue is remediated in Red Hat Single Sign-On 7.6.4.

This repository provides a proof-of-concept (PoC) exploit for CVE-2022-4361, a reflected XSS vulnerability in Keycloak (<= 21.1.1) when a client is configured with a wildcard redirect URI. The main exploit script, CVE-2022-4361.py, takes a Keycloak authentication URL and crafts a malicious version by injecting a JavaScript payload into the 'redirect_uri' parameter and forcing the 'response_mode' to 'form_post'. The script then opens the malicious URL in the default web browser, demonstrating the XSS vulnerability. The repository includes a docker-compose.yaml and a Keycloak realm configuration (test-realm.json) to set up a vulnerable test environment. The README provides detailed setup and usage instructions, including example URLs and credentials. The exploit targets Keycloak's OIDC authentication flow and does not currently support SAML. The payload demonstrates the ability to execute arbitrary JavaScript in the context of the Keycloak login page, which could be leveraged for session hijacking or other attacks. No hardcoded external endpoints are present; the exploit is designed to be used against user-supplied Keycloak instances.
